The font style of "The class of 92" is a sans serif font. It has the appearance of something you may see in either a retro sports bar or a bowling alley. This does link more with american sport but of course there is a transatlantic link between us and the USA. It is a very bold font but is not that large in comparison with the whole poster from this documentary. This title has an arced font style which makes it seem more edgy, despite this being a very minor detail.
This links to the genre in several ways. This is an observational documentary which is based on Manchester, and the background is an overview of Manchester which is perfect representation for what is to come in the documentary. The class also relates to youth and schooling in the sense and they are "the class" which again shows links to genre.
In terms of transitions, this graphic has a lot of similar themes to the programme itself. There are clear transitions between the colour pallet and the themes involved in the documentary. The fact that they played in red and the 90's in Manchester were seen as a dark period early on show that there is a lot more to this graphic than you would initially think.
They put the title as the front layer as it is clearly the most important part of this documentary.
